Doing what I want, When I want, If I want! |
LDD, It’s as simple as doing a search on DuckDuckGo (or any search engine you prefer). You can go back as many years as you like. I’m certainly not bashing LEO’s as a whole, in fact most of my shooting buddies are active or retired LEO’s. Having lived in Illinois for 60+ years, I’ve read a lot of newspaper articles over those years of things that have gone on in the Chicago PD. You can ask anyone on the board that has dealt with me or met me in person to find out I’m not what CPD SIG thinks I am. I was done responding after his last tirade. ******************************************** "On the other side of fear you will always find freedom"

You lived in Chicago for 60 years and never figured it out?

Bull shit you're not bashing Chicago LEOs. If you really weren't trying to be insulting, go take a remedial writing class at your local community college. Me thinks you're now looking for cover. Do me a favor and go through your old newspaper articles and give me a count on the bad cops reported on. Then we can get some viable stats. You will find that the percentage of bad cops are minuscule. Feel free to use any search engine you want if you didn't put the newspaper articles in a scrap book.

I asked you to cite specific evidence which supports your conclusion. Your response is, summarized, "Go look it up yourself." Poor form sir, poor form. It's ok to admit that your statements are just unsubstantiated opinion.

Never miss an opportunity to be Batman! |
Oh, you mean the fake news? The ones who have had a narrative to push. I have seen a lot of officers charged, like the ones in Baltimore (Freddy Gray), St. Louis (Jason Stockley, the 4 officers indicted for time sheets, etc). Guess what, in every story the news presented the story (and that is all it is, a story) as the gospel and that a conviction was certain. Of course the cases fall apart once they hit court and it is revealed the DA lied, covered up exculpatory evidence or had no evidence to begin with. You have questioned the integrity of the Chicago Officers, of which several are on this forum. These officers are working in some of the worst and most dangerous areas on the planet and that is not even considering the political landscape in the new progressive Dimocrap way. I mean just read the CWB blog I linked before if you doubt it.

Thank you jsbcody. And yes, jsbcody is close to being totally correct. The DoJ report was brought to you by the same group that investigated Ferguson Mo, Seattle WA, and Baltimore Md. Yeah, the good old department of just us run by obama. Not that you'd bother to read the 500 or so pages, but it states that the Chicago Police Department needs more supervision on the street to correct the "problem" of the CPD "racially profiling" young black men in street stops. And the CPD needs to be more "diverse". Yeah, Beltfed, huge, huge problem there. We're bad people, and a bad department. I feel shame. Watts and Mohammed were dirty. Guess who turned them in? Yep, Chicago Police Officers threw their asses under the bus. Spalding and Echeveria were cry-babies. Spalding, if my memory serves me right, either got dumped from, or wasn't allowed into one of the better teams in Narcotics because she whines too much. Not that she's a "rat", but that she cries about working, working overtime, having a take her turn doing the "shit jobs" on the team. People in Narcotics got sick of her bullshit, her Partner stated "if she goes, I go", so he went too. They were on the team that revealed the Ronny Watts / Mohammed shit, so they (Spalding and Echeveria) decided to use that excuse for their lawsuit for being treated "unfairly". So, there's the inside tract on that story- but remember TWO. WOW! A slanted story from an anti-police professor who works at a half-assed college. But let's run with his numbers. "No fewer than 300 in the past five decades" ok... I'll take those numbers. "More than 90 since 2000", so at the time of the article- Jan 2013, is 13 years. Again, I'll take those numbers. The article mentioned "the blue code of silence"... Yeah, exactly right! We never privately and publicly turn in our fellow officers. (See story above- TWO officers turned in by fellow officers for being thieving pieces of shit) which brings me to your next story- The ones from Area Central Gangs. The Feds- the fbi... Grabbed 6 officers, (1 Sgt, 5 patrolmen) and only indicted 2... A Federal Investigation. Aahhhh, but where did the investigation start? Who turned in Xavier and that other piece of shit? Could it have been Chicago Police Officers in Narcotics? CPD officers that were on a surveillance and observed two cops stealing, and they obviously "looked the other way", in your own words, and turned them into IAD and the fbi. TWO officers. Remember that number as well. Yep, you know oh so very much just because you've lived in Illinois for over 60 years! Toss a couple copy & paste articles from a quick internet search has given you soo much knowledge into what goes on in the Chicago Police Department. Let's see if your internet savvy can come up with some numbers. I've given you the first number- FOUR. (2 officers from the second story, 2 from the fourth. 2+2= 4) Now there's (+/-) 13,500 sworn members of the Chicago Police Department. That's from the Superintendent all the way down to the newest recruit. What's the percentage of of those dirty bastards to the rest of the department? (Hint- less thanks 1/4 of a percent) I'll take those numbers. As a matter of fact, how about you figure out the odds of your own occupation, and throw them out here for us to see? I'll take those numbers, and even give a little more... But it's coming out across the board being less than ONE PERCENT nationwide. But that gives you the right to go out and rather broadly insult the integrity of a couple Thousand hard working men and women, including myself and at least 2 other members here on the Fourm. Again, 24 years... I've been in rooms with hundreds of thousands of dollars, and have NEVER, EVER taken a single cent. THOUSANDS of arrests, from Homicies to Disorderly Conduct. And NEVER looked the other way. Come close to death and serious injuries more than a few times in the last 24 years trying to protect the decent people here in Chicago. As have my co-workers. Some have unfortunately died, some of those are friends of mine. Cops I've worked with. And you think I'm just gonna to "look the other way" when you insult me and my co-workers like that? Funny thing is, I get insulted on a regular basis. At this point in our society, I expect it. But at least the shit-heads that insult me on the South Side of Chicago have the testicular fortitude to do it to my face. Unlike a semi-anonymous "snipe" from a keyboard tough-guy. I stand by my assessment of your character, because it's rather hard to refute. It's all there in black and white, and done by your hand. I ask you a favor- I beg you. PLEASE, do the same to your Law Enforcement friends you shoot with. Do it to their face. Tell them as you look at them "In my conclusion, you're all corrupt". Please... Then let us know what happens. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. I thought it would be something like that. I had a Detective working for me who didn't like being on call or getting called out, didn't like catching a hot case and having to run with it, if it would go past his 8 hour shift. He didn't like doing all the extra stuff a good detective has to do to make sure their case is right and good to go. I told him there was a two word description for a detective like him.........Patrol Officer and that is exactly where he ended up. I can tell you all about the fabrication of lies that was the Ferguson Report. The only truth to that report was a old timer White Shirt, an old timer Sgt. and old timer Court Clerk sent each other stupid jokes via email. Out of all the jokes, 3 were considered "racist". Kind of like what AOC has been screaming about the Border Patrol Officers Facebook page......so far, I have only seen about 3 things that would be considered racist or inappropriate. If there had been more, AOC and media would have put all of it out there. Recently some officers got jammed up over posts/photos with Confederate Flags and Nazi flags. I know a few of those cases involved officers who were Civil War Reenactors and WWII Reenactors. Damn, good thing I didn't join that Viking Reenacting group.

LDD- Im sorry that you got dragged into this Internet Bullshit. I know you’re a Moderator, but that’s still not a good reason for you to play referee. Jsbcody, one of these days, we’re gonna need to have a few cold beers together, share some stories! ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Wow, you two guys are spot on with your comments. Thanks JSBCody, you said everything I was going to say but I was out of town and didn't feel light responding with my cell phone and it's small keyboard. Are you sure you are not a CPD copper or from Chicago?

Quick story to address your post: Years ago, I was bitching to a buddy of mine on the Fire Dept about all the DUMB stuff cops and firemen do on and off the job. He looked at me in all seriousness and asked “Did you take an IQ test to get on the job?” My answer was No. He makes a valid point. We DO do some dumb shit. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Not from Chicago or a Chicago copper but besides sleeping at a Holiday Inn, I have 35 total years as a LEO. 6 in military (including Town Patrol in the Philippines and Korea along with a TDY to New Orleans during Madi Gras) and 29 in St. Louis area......What is happening in Chicago now, happens in St. Louis about 3-6 months later.
Oh, if you think cops do some dumb shit, date an Urban area Hospital ER Charge Nurse...you will hear some war/horror stories on stupidity about nurses and doctors. This message has been edited. Last edited by: jsbcody,

Ok, back to the original topic- I understand the tragic events in Dayton and ElPaso overshadow things, but... FOUR separate mass shooting incidents in one day. Did that make any of your local news feeds? Like I said, it’s become expected here. No one bats an eye. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Yeah, but did they leave a 'manifesto' or a 'twitter feed'? Or say "Orange man bad!"? "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor
