Chicago is stably unstable. The conditions that cause it's crime problems are baked into the culture out there. Unless someone upends the apple cart to a very large degree, it's not going to change. And I can't see the political will to do that.

You mentioned “unreported” in your OP. It’s not that it goes unreported, they’re all on paper. We, the Chicago Police document the hell out of this stuff! Trust me, I’m writing paperwork or approving it a lot. It’s either that it’s expected, no one gives a damn, or it’s the butt of a joke on a late night talk show. Per the fbi and some Congressional study, a “Mass Shooting Incident” is ONE incident with 3 OR MORE shot. We had 4 mass shooting incidents JUST THIS WEEKEND!


But Colbert et al. better back off the jokes about this savagery, lest he embarrass Lori (Groot) Lightfoot, and the rest of the Democratic Party.

Blacks have been an important part of the democrat election strategy as far back as FDR. Yet we see every day a bloody toll of young Black men killing other young Black men over everything from drug turf to trivial idiotic reasons. Now having said this you would think that the gun control crowd would want to disarm Black people first before everyone else in an effort to save lives but know, go after that ordinary guy who goes to work every day and tries to just raise his family and get by. HE is the REAL target! I have often played with the hypothetical idea of since Blacks are a small portion of the population, would it not be easier to disarm them first and reduce the general bloodletting all at once? They tend not to be the "radical Right Wing White guys who are supposedly the ones who would start a Civil War or Revolution after all-they don't even vote Democrat! I keep coming back to the conclusion that A-They are afraid to do this for fear of alienating a voter block, B-They REALLY just want to disarm the regular working folks, C-They are afraid that somebody will scream RACIST! against THEM for a change. D-They are afraid to try it even though it will not be the politicians doing it but some LEO or military taking on the job.
