What's a "tenner?"

Apparently you did. Some might find that cause for concern

No, or in the old one, give if you like.
One thing it reminds me of an old Phil Silvers bit.
Sgt. Bilko is on leave.
He goes with his buddies to a casino somewhere near where he was stationed.
He loses all his money.
He comes out crying and sad, can't get back home to the base/
The floor manager is concerned and consuls him.
Ends up getting all his money back.
He is happy.
Then:
He goes back in to the casino.
LOSES his money AGAIN.
A light bulb goes off.
Comes back out again crying and sad.
(I can't remember if it worked this time. I think it did ~ then the same routine starts all over again.
HOPING.....
Not saying this is what is here but that was funny and reminds me of this situation
Sometimes a helping hand doesn't have to be money.

SBrooksJust be careful if the car has any performance potential.
Had to cheap out on tires while in college, but still drove like I had the nice sticky tires on it. Wrecked it bad and broke a lot of bones. Lesson learned. Cheap tires don't handle as well as the more expensive ones (I'm sure there are exceptions, but likely few).

Next thing you know, the government will be asking me to develop codes for them.

clubleaf206I am not, as some have suggested “going back to the honey hole”, I am working down the debt situation I got myself into. And a big thank you, again, to all those whose generosity was extended to me at that time. What it also means is that I don’t have really anything in the way of “discretionary income” for want of a better term. Let me also state,in the interest of full disclosure, that this thread started as a hypothetical question, not that tires for the car aren’t warranted, though. That being said if anyone who has offered to help cares to withdraw I understand and hope that no ill will is harbored by anyone.

clubleaf206They are on order, the store I will be dealing with doesn’t currently have them in their inventory, they will request them from the warehouse and then contact me via email so that I can take the car there and have them installed.

K0ZZZHere's an article that justifies the practice of two new tires going on the rear and that it can be dangerous to go on the front. It matched what I was told when I needed to get a pair replaced due to damage, they shuffled the wheels around so that the new ones were in the rear.
