Anyone use a private group healthcare plan? These are plans where you put money in a pool and draw from it as needed. Sounds to good to be true. Wife is on BC/BS at 1200.00 per month but has health problems.Me,not so much.Need to save some cash.

We use Christian Healthcare Ministries, chministries.org . $200 per month each for the wife and I, plus we buy up for the unlimited lifetime benefit, so it costs $450/month total for the two of us. A $500 deductible per event. No in/out of network. A few exclusions, and pre-existing conditions which have been treated or had symptoms in the last 3 years have a 2 yr exclusion.

I'm just throwing this in to make sure you're exploring all your options: the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) offers subsidies where the maximum subsidy is if your household income is at 138% of the Federal Poverty Level and peters out at 400%. For a two person household, that ranges from $24,040 to $69,680. Past $69,680 your premiums are limited to 8.5% of your income. This is open to anyone without an employer provided healthcare or on COBRA. You have to be off COBRA to qualify which means the program has ended for you and not that you just stopped making premium payments. Go to healthcare.gov and if your state runs its own program, there will be a link on that site. Good luck. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Same here. Have made a few claims and everything that was supposed to be covered was covered at 100%. It’s not insurance & you have to do your own paperwork & wait to be reimbursed, but it works exactly as advertised.
