ChuckFinleyStupid question. Need larger sconce(?) candlesticks advice
I think the mouth on the top of a candlestick is called a sconce. I have been given a number of very nice candles, including beeswax, that the candle is too big to fit into the current inventory of candlesticks.
I can't figure out how to find quality candlesticks with bigger openings for the candles. Any experts?

architectNot an expert on candles or candlesticks, but this sounds like a great justification to purchase a lathe! "Honey, it was the only way I could get them to fit!"

maladatHow much too big are the candles?
If it's just a little bit, you can use this to shave down the base of the candle to fit.

LS1 GTOYou should call a coupla hard, pipe-hittin' niggers, who'll go to work with a pair of pliers and a blow torch.

egregore"Sconce" is the term for a light fixture (candle or electric) that is attached to a wall.

tsmccullWow, talk about first world problems! Maladat’s solution if you want to get fancy, or a knife used to whittle the bottom of the candles if you prefer zero cost. It is just wax, you know.

ChuckFinleyThanks, beeswax candles can't get shaved down to fit smaller holes or they start to unwind, I'm told.
Lathe and making my own would be a perfect solution, once I have the time.
