What do you think of Melbourne? My wife is a big fan of moving back to FL, and I do not want to be in Miami, again.

Is there a decent “nerd” population around there?

If you want beach and crowds move to Cocoa, Daytona St Augustine.
Do not think of Ft Myers, Cape Coral!!!!
If you want beach, move South down to the Juan Ponce De Leon Landing area.

Just big houses and little gated communities.
NO bridges that is why its quite no nightlife that is further up by Melbourne.

Speed Limits 45MPH and the majority of drivers stick to it. No asshats weaving in and out of the lanes.

It is slow mate not a lot to do which will suit me and the wife fine having retired.

Sebastian Inlet has fishing,I dont fish anymore.
And Melbourne International has opened up "MLB" all sorts of airlines flying in and out.

The little townhouse we bought was very reasonable and low HOAS.
Condo prices are dropping.

Hurricanes are quite rare in the area we are moving to.
They go north usually but look at the data on that one.
