Question regarding Mac software

Anyone know what the software labeled "My mac updater" is and is it a legitimate piece of software from Apple?

This is what I suspected, since I was palying a game the other night and it suddenly dropped out and a pop up suddenly appeared saying flash player was out of date and needed to be updated.
