Savages. Don't they know that you're supposed to hold the phone horizontal when taking a video?

For those who haven't read the previous thread:

South African Parliament votes to seize white owned land.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

There is a center for birds of prey there I am good friends with.

The Caring Owl is a farm off the southern coast and they are oblivious to what is going on. They think they are too small for the government to bother them, however the savages would kill them all and burn the far for no other reason that they had spooky owls there bringing death to the villages once the government gives them the go ahead. Just to the north of them is a military garrison that would be on them like ants.

Made the mistake of watching the video. I could only get to about 5 seconds in before I had to turn it off. I'm sick that a person could do that to another human being.

Superstitious beliefs can truly cause horrendous results.
And a nice demonstration of the myth of how native peoples are supposedly more in touch with and knowledgeable of their local environment than someone like an outside researcher or invader.

Although Donald Morris, the author of the 1965 book The Washing of the Spears, would no doubt be excoriated today by the Social Correctness crowd for having the audacity to point it out, superstitions and taboos among the Bantus of southern Africa affected and influenced their lives in many harmful ways.
More the witness dareth say not.
