It's not about what you believe. It's about what they believe, and they believe having a Nazi or slave owner relative in their family, then that makes them guilty by association. They believe it, so they are devastated and embarrassed when this stuff pops up. It means nothing, but they believe it does, so its glorious to see this addle-minded twat find out about such.

The comments section of the linked article get to the heart of the matter right off the bat. Chelsea Handler OWES reparations to the Jews for what her grandfather did, according to the ideology she embraces. She is partly, heck, maybe entirely, responsible for any problems faced by Jews today.
