That's a nice 10 hray.
They don't usually make it past 8 where we hunt.

Our ranch has a 8pt minimum, or a trophy 6.
But, we try to let the young ones go a few years to keep the population up.
Unfortunately, some of the hunters down there are in the 'shoot anything that moves' & 'not a good hunt if I don't bring something home' camps.

Unfortunately, me local pub frowns on taking pictures, but I can assure you that there is plenty of legal game in the area (and probably some not legal!). Heck, there is an occasional trophy or two that wanders thru.

Now, at 80 years old, I don't carry a loaded gun anymore (sigh) - but the thrill of the chase is still there! It is one of the few areas where hunting and consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed...

Thanks, I/we have been with this club for 16 years. Went as a guest a couple of times prior to joining. When I started it was 4 pt on one side for legal, second buck was 10 pt or had to have 16" spread. These are club rules not QDM which our county is now but our criteria is higher. Currently we have a 110" score or better or a small buck fee is given. Makes it a little more difficult to judge that but I'm not there just for horns. My daughter can't wait for the mount to be done. Hray

I put a doe in the freezer yesterday. She was the 8th out of 9 deer I saw in the morning. The first was at 710a and the last was a 10a. I’ve seen good numbers of deer this season at my farm. And that includes a few decent bucks but not one of my targets. I did see a good buck right at dark a few weeks ago but I could not tell exactly how good he was so I let him pass.

Neck shot at about 30 yards with a 7mag. Needless to say, she did not go anywhere.

I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

That is definitely enough rifle for the job. Enjoy the tasty meat.

One of my Grandsons on his 23rd birthday.

The tall one in gray shirt… with a girlfriend that loves to hunt to boot!

Tagged out today with a nice yearling doe. Don't have any field pictures of deer number 1 as it was too dark
