It doesn’t matter how smart the individual Chinaman is if the system promotes corruption and graft. The USSR had many brilliant scientists, who in many ways surpassed the west in innovation, especially in the 1960s. (Think of their superior rocket motors that channeled the turbo pump exhaust back to the thrust chamber) However, in a corrupt system that doesn’t value property rights, all innovation will largely remain unrealized.

As for manpower, that corner has already turned. China is a nation in decline. It will never recover.

Their primary focus is always family, protecting their family, and making it better for each seceding generation. They are here to acquire the skills to help their family climb that ladder back home
