Tn226Sen. Lisa Murkowski, aghast at Donald Trump’s candidacy and the direction of her party, won’t rule out bolting from the GOP.
“ The veteran Alaska Republican, one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial amid the aftermath of January 6, 2021, is done with the former president and said she “absolutely” would not vote for him.”
God these people are disgusting.

Not to be cynical, but not sure how much it is folks like her departing the party and how much it is the party departing common sense. I hope that this election moves the needle in the right direction, not only in the White House, but also in the house and senate. Time will tell.

oddballDuring the Kavanaugh hearings:
She has voted with Biden/Democrats approx. 70% of the time.
The RINOs are in Never-Trump mode, full bore. Especially here in Texas, RINOs are more of a problem than Democrats, traitors in the fold. These assholes would rather have Biden get another four years than Trump, it is very frustrating.

We can only hope. The problem, of course, is that electing an actual Conservative is pretty much impossible in Maine.

We don't, she has never been elected with more than 50% of the vote.

Obviously I need to work on my clarity. I think she is a bag of what the kids use the pooper scooper to pick up in the dog pen. I think that while she is an extreme example, there are far too many that most of us would consider RINOs. It makes me wonder if "the party" is mostly just going uniparty, basically democrats with different labels.
Sure, there are some folks with an R after their name that are easy to support. It just seems like they are becoming more the exception than the rule.

Hamden106If you leave your party for another, mid-term, I think you should resign and be replaced by a special election of the people
