Luke Perry dies at 52
Well said.

I was the same graduating year as the 90210 guys, so I watched the show. It seems silly looking back on the Brenda/Dylan/Kelly thing. I’m sorry he is gone

Very bummed to read this; he was a major part of my young adult life. Stroked out at 52 years old. Wow.

It’s a wake-me-up when a heartthrob in a high school tv series dies.
I think the kicker is you would think he had access to decent healthcare.

RIP

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I liked him in The Fifth Element.

Seemed like a good guy.

I met him in the 90210 heyday at a media party with the entire cast. Out off all of them Luke and Ian were both really cool, approachable and "normal"

Saw that. Makes me want to watch 8 Seconds again in memory.

This is sad to hear
I read the other day he had a stroke but I thought they had it under control

I occasionally watched 90210. I know my sister loved the show, but it seemed like everyone did except me.

I have watched a view episodes now and then on you tube or amazon prime. I did remember watching it for the girls.

I never remember hearing or reading a bad thing about him. I did know he had conservative leanings and he would do things for people out of the blue such as show up at a hospital to visit fans, or kids.

I enjoyed his westerns but it was always hard for me to see him other than a character off 90210.

Way way too young.
I keep reading these and working these cases every night at work, and I am taking everyone's advice and starting to live life.

That is a shame. I liked his work as an actor and he seemed like a decent person overall.

Didn't he race cars for a while too? Or maybe it was someone else from 90210....I never saw the show and am only vaguely familiar with it's cast.

In any event, sounds like he was a good guy, and a very rare Hollywood conservative. A real shame.

Wow, I liked him. I heard him do an interview and he was different than most gollywood types.
He raced cars too.

Did not know he was from Ohio.

Hated to see him go RIP.

He died in a hospital in Burbank California. I assume, but don't know, that the level of care there is probably at least decent if not better.

So sorry for his loved ones. I'm noticing how fickle the reaper is. God bless him and his family.

Yeah, i belive he did. Which reminds me of that 1964 convertible Porsche "Dylan" drove in the show. Always loved that car.

I was surprised by the stroke, but totally shocked by this. (assuming his stroke was of the "minor" sort.)

The secret of living a long life, is being born a long time ago.
I've long said that the average life expectancy in this country is going to plummet. I think this sort of thing is going to become more and more common, as people who've lived their whole life on the "modern American diet" (crap and chemicals) start to reach middle age. Frown

He was one of those people you hated at the time (90210), a trendy pop icon, but when you saw him in interviews you changed your mind as he seemed like a decent dude.

Sometimes a stroke is a bleed out from a burst artery, vs an occlusion which is often due to a bad diet. He looked to lean to die from an occlusion stroke. RIP Luke.

I completely forgot about “8 Seconds.” I’ve got a friend who was a PRCA bullfighter, and he worked during the filming of the movie. He posted this picture. That’s my friend, Dwayne Hargo, filming with the camera held low (both his sons are bullfighters now). According to Hargo, Luke Perry was a pleasure to work with, and as the picture shows, did at least some of his own stunt work to make the movie better.

Leon Coffee is also in the picture.

As Dwayne’s son, Jr. said, “He shed a lot of light on our sport.”

Yes, he was the confessed serial killer in the latest and last episode (#9) "Lost in Paradise". I didn't know who he was until I heard a clip of his voice on the evening news tonight and made the connection.
