You need a Brokerage account. Almost every financial services company will offer one. Find one with free online trades. They are pretty common.

Next step is to deposit money.

Once you have done that, what are you going to buy? Why are you buying it? And when are you going to sell it?

It is easy to set up an account and buy stock. Actually being an investor is much harder.

Robinhood is changing the brokerage world.

Unfortunately, it is having growing pains.

It is like Amazon in its early days.

I've had an eTrade account for 20 years, super easy to use with free trades.
