I want a hedge trimmer and a leaf blower. Strong preference for a pair that can share the same battery.

Hedge trimming requirements are pretty moderate.

Driveway, for leaf blowing, is not too big -- maybe would be big enough to park four standard size cars, two cars wide by two cars end-to-end, so do not need a battery that would last for hours, but do want something that will move a decent amount of air at reasonable velocity. Mainly for clearing paved surfaces: driveway and sidewalk.

Slight possibility that in the future I might want to add a cordless lawn mower to the mix, but that is not a strong consideration at this time, so it's not a deal maker nor a deal breaker.

What are y'all using, what do you recommend? Black & Decker? Worx? DeWalt? Green Works?

If you have one, tell me the good and the bad.

I've got a Kobalt weedeater, 40 volt. It does a great job on my limited trimming, but wouldn't hold a charge for extended use. I kill a battery in about 30-40 min of trimming.

I use a Worx 60 volt at a property I manage. I do over 3500 sq feet of pavers with a single battery, at least 25-30 mins worth. Not sure how much longer the battery would last as I've never ran it out and only have the 1 battery. It's awesome, lighter than my gas hitachi and has 90% of the power.

The only downsides are there is a few second delay from when you press the go button, and it only has 2 speeds. Medium and Turbo and sometimes in tight area's medium is a little too much airflow.

I have a 20V Dewalt DCBL720P1 20V MAX 5.0 Ah Lithium Ion XR Brushless Blower. No hedge trimmer though. I believe the blower would be sufficient for your purposes.

I went through the same thing about 18 months ago and bought the DeWalt hedge trimmer and blower, which share the same battery. I’ve been very happy with both. They are the 40v models. I bought the hedge trimmer with no battery and found the blower with a 7.5 AH battery for a good price on Amazon warehouse deals (open box but never used). Added the 4 year warranty through Amazon for about $20 each.

I have been a Ryobi fan for years. Reasonable prices and Home Depot is always having deals buy one get one free, etc. I got the 40volt blower and works great! Then upgraded to a 40 volt Ryobi mower. I thought I would need a 2nd battery to finish my 3K sq ft of grass...Nope. I battery is all it takes.

I would however recommend buying an extra 5amh 40 volt battery just so you have all the juice on hand when you need it.

I have the 80v GreenWorks pro Hedge trimmer (top model) and Leaf blower (2nd most powerful model) They both work great. I also have their 21" push mower and it does 1/3 of an acre on One 4 AH battery. Happy so far except my trimmer arrived with a bad battery. It had been on the shelf 4 years or so (from Amazon)

Milwaukee M18 line of power tools have full spectrum of tools that share the same battery. They even came out with a electric chainsaw that has been good reviews.

I just ordered a Stihl MSA 200 cordless chainsaw with AP battery and charger for small work and to carry on my UTV. Still makes a number of other tools like blowers, trimmers, and I believe a lawn mower that all utilize the same batteries.

I have a B and D hedge trimmer and weed whacker. 40v. They both work well, and have surprising battery life. Have only used one battery at a time as I poop out before both batteries do. Don’t know about blower.

I have Makita hedge clippers and blower, but my motivation for sticking with Makita is what I have a shit ton of their 18V batteries for my tools. I can say that they work fine for what I do with them, no complaints. The blower blows and the hedge clippers clip.

I have a Kobalt battery powered mower and it’s great for our little rental yard. However, I also have Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL line trimmer, blower, hedge trimmer, and I’m looking forward to picking up the chainsaw.

If their OPE line included a mower, I’m sure it would kick ass.

Check HomeDepot for sales on the Milwaukee OPE. They usually have them running around the holidays.

Back in June, while Home Depot had some Father's Day promotions, I picked up a Milwaukee string trimmer//hedge trimmer package, along with a blower that included another M18 battery.
The blower has worked great for my 2+ acres, the string trimmer has been OK, but mainly used as a back-up to my two Stihl gas trimmers, who've become a bit temperamental after 20 years and 5-6 years of use--I'm going to change out the carbs on the two Stihls during the winter.
I've only used the hedge trimmer once, but it did work great.

I also have the Dewalt DCBL720P1. It’s a great cordless blower. Dewalt has really stepped up their game the last few years.

I have the Ryobi 40v mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, and chain saw, and have been pleased for almost 2 years now. I don't need a blower, but they do offer one.
