Illinois: Social media accounts determine your right to possess a gun.
Illinois has an anti-gun governor, a Democrat veto-proof congress, and now this is being proposed.

It's baffling that any American who knows anything about the founding principles of this country could come up with an idea like this.

I dropped Facebook years ago, no other SM accounts except LinkedIn and I contribute nothing there.

I just renewed my FOID for another 10 years. I will be long gone from this state before it needs renewal again.

Lots of people have extensive social media presence. I doubt ISP wants to spend scores of hours to just go through one persons social media garbage.

I think every politician should be forced to make their social media information public first along with their school year books, report cards, employment reviews, and medical records since grade school.

If this law passes, you're not safe from its outreach. Your FOID can be revoked.
