Do---or do not.
There is no try.

If you're wondering if the mask you're wearing might be from the very place that gave us this damn virus, here's a better source.

This company just came out online and is in the DFW area.

Twenty masks for $45 plus about $10 shipping. Buy and breathe American.

I have purchased “Made In USA” ‘surgical’ style disposable masks from GS Medical.

Good pricing and quick shipping on the two orders that I placed with them (one box of fifty, and then four boxes of 50).

About $10 / box and very reasonable shipping cost.

My retired wife sews them down in the basement (dungeon). I have no idea how many she sews, but she takes a bunch of them to her church sponsored clinic and whatever. She buys material, and uses scraps from her various other projects. I get them by digging into her finished stocks and pile them on the end table next to my chair. I only steal the interesting ones, like the beer can tops, or the chocolate chip cookies, etc.

I don't go out that much with the wuhan flu and what not. I certainly don't wear them inside my own house. If you don't want to come inside, I'm good with it. Maybe you do have to wear one if you want to come inside.

Didn’t catch that. Also it seems that these are also assembled in US using US sourced materials. Lots of sneaky vendors doing made in US but using foreign and even Chinese materials.

I might buy some when back in stock even though I don’t need masks. Don’t wear them unless forced.

Interesting article on their website dated 1/21. Apparently they were having trouble selling their masks because they were a few cents higher cost than the Chinese stuff. Even their own local county government wouldn't buy them due to the few cents higher cost. The article had a comment about 200,000 masks sitting in their warehouse that they couldn't sell. And now, just a few days later, they are out of stock. Something must have worked! I signed up to be notified when they are back in stock and will order some.

Besides all of that, who has masks that do NOT wrap around the ears?

Behind the ear hearing aids and those that wrap around don't work out so well.

I bought a couple packs of those white/blue disposable masks from Walmart.com for life here in masked-up-crazy-Pennsylvania (our Governor-King Wolf was one of the first states to make it compulsory in all public places and public buildings, businesses etc in early April of 2020) and I SHIT YOU NOT, they were made in China...

These are not N95 or KN95, but two-layer cotton fabric. I use these all of the time. Rather than tie the mask on, I use 1/2 X 1/2 inch nylon spacers with a 1/4 inch dia hole that I bought at the hardware store. The straps thread though the hole are a snug fit.

When I see people wearing masks like all the others shown here, I just figure they are wearing them to blend in and avoid confrontation...not wearing them because they actually want to stop the spread or contraction of the china flu. On the very rare situation where I see a proper mask, they aren't worn properly anyway. No one is wearing masks because they actually expect to not get or spread sickness...either they are incredibly stupid, OR some battles aren't worth the fight, and they know it. I do actually see proper respirators or a properly worn N95 worn with a faceshield at times. I carry them, but do not wear them.

**edited to add: these are my experiences in Alaska. I get that different states and different areas have differing risks and rules.

True dat!

Saw two guys in Publix without masks last night, looked like college students didn't see anyone say anything...

Governor made it illegal to enforce maskdates in FL, of course using property rights a business can require it and ask you to leave under trespass laws...

I treat it like "No Concealed Carry" signs. If you ask me why I'm not wearing one, I'll tell you. If you ask me to leave, I will without making a scene. I asked one company what their plan was for customers who couldn't wear masks, they were happy to meet me in the parking lot for the transaction and that satisfied me just fine.

But we're drifting the thread now.

I have seen one man get harassed terribly by other sheep for wearing a full face shield and gloves. He actually had a tyvek suit on also. Taped gloves and all. He was probably the only safe one in the store, but I was near some of the same people and didn't catch the china flu unmasked completely. The two people I know personally in my local area who did catch china flu both wore masks continuously, but had jobs that forced public interactions all day. One knew he would get it, and took it in stride with a little complaining over the loss of smell and taste. The other, a manager of a department in a large box store here, blamed the world of unmasked people for her calamity and last I hear was asking about suing over it. You sure see all sides in this china virus.

I get mine from the basement ,
Bonnie has sewn up over 400 masks for people in the hospitals.

people are offering her $9.00 a piece for them .

I'd bet if you asked around , you could find a body that would be happy to sew you up a half dozen washable masks.
