MRBTXI would 2nd the recommendation for the Bob Bullock museum for something to do in the daytime. Skip 6th st., it's dangerous after dark down there. Go down to New Braunfels, Gruene Hall, enjoy some good German food and beer at Krause's.

irreverentBarton springs was pretty- weather dependent of course. Go to Guerros for some Mexican and wander down to the shops to browse a bit (Tesoro’s, Allen’s boots, etc). Torchy’s for tacos. I think it’s too late for the bats, but I always try! I missed going to the Mean Eyed Cat (Johnny Cash) and Jesters (outside the city- pizza and winery?} this year. Do a tour (Austin Detours)- ask for Brent if you do! Sadly, Fortneys (my favorite browse around place there) moved hours away now. So disappointing to discover that.
It’s fun to walk around downtown at night just for the vibe.
Have a great time!
