Definitely chemtrails.

Hope he has air conditioning. That's miserable flying.

Mapping via photogrammetry, maybe some LiDAR mixed in with it as TatorTodd mentioned.
This is what I do for 6 weeks every year in the construction industry. Except I use drones and cover much smaller areas (less than 50-70 acres).

I flew (babysat a new-be) in a C182 from KMCC ..Sacramento down the west side of the Sierras, over to Vegas, then Gallup New Mexico and back up to the Denver metro area. We were doing 5G mapping for an un-named client. Their are multiple reason for flights like that. We spent 2 days on that adventure.

Drone flying, waaay to consistent of a flight pattern to be a plane.

They put the track in the gps, likely then flown on auto-pilot, that’s why it looks so precise.

There are companies that hire pilots to do so, kinda an ‘entry level’.

Every loop can take a little ‘crab’, I would expect a little wind there. An autopilot would adjust heading for the precise ground track.

As to the actual reason for the ground mapping or analysis, don’t know without Google help.

Look at the area that is covered . Too big to be a crop field .

I should have looked closer. Around here they seem to be flying just over the tree tops and power lines. It is pretty much the definition of a small plane flying a strange pattern.

Why would a drone be capable of a flight path more complicated or precise than a manned aircraft?
