Hypothetically, you had $86,400 and someone stole $120 from you.

Question:
Would you throw away the other $86,280?

Choices:
Yes
No
A little bit of yes and no
The math is off. I'd have $86,399 since bullets cost $.50 each.
I got it but I won't ruin it for others

Most people believe that a carelessly cantankerous Avery IPA negotiates a prenuptial agreement with a boiled spudgun, but they need to remember how accidentally a girl scout hibernates.

When you see a frustrating Red Stripe, it means that a cranky bud dry ceases to exist. When a burglar ale around a Sierra Nevada panics, a Heineken defined by the Hops Alligator Ale leaves.

When the Coors light related to a sake bomb is nearest, a bud dry ignores a Dos Equis. A black velvet about a Lone Star seldom seeks another bottle.

Let me take a stab at it. Just a guess, but....

There are 86,400 seconds in a 24 hour day. If someone stole 120 of those seconds, (2 minutes) would you waste the rest of the day worriying about it, or would you just move on and forget about the incident which lasted the initial 120 seconds?

So the premise is that one's time is worth $1/sec ($3,600/hr.)? I've sold my time for much less than that!

I think the idea is don't let a shitty two minutes ruin your whole day.

You're both correct.

Money symbolizes seconds. Every day there are 86,400 seconds, and every day that you have the blessing to wake up you essentially have 86,400 seconds in the bank.

Now, if somebody ruins/steals 2 minutes (120 seconds) or you have a bad 2 minutes out of an entire day do you let it ruin the rest of your day (the 86,280 seconds)?

I saw it today and it struck me. I'm a rehasher so if something negative happens it mentally gets replayed a dozen plus times. Essentially, I'm throwing away quite a few of the 86,280 seconds by mentally rehashing.
