Savor the limelight |
Your speeds seem to support that conclusion. I’ve seen it with cellular internet speeds quite a bit while in Michigan. During the week, I’d get 60-70 up and 12 down. When the weekend crowd showed up down speed dropped to 6-7, but up remainder 12. 4th of July weekend I got 1 barely and up had even dropped to 9. One of the selling points of DSL over cable was DSL was your direct connection while cable was shared. DSL would guarantee a speed while cable would say something like speeds up to X, but include a disclaimer saying maybe slower during peak usage periods. If fiber is a shared connection like cable, I could see how the down speed would be me so much lower than you are expecting. Have you tried testing at different times like say 2am? | |||
