Tip of the iceberg. There’s an ongoing lawsuit over CA sharing purchase info with “gun violence” researchers. Why do they need access to personally identifiable information for research? On the actual real science side of real research that info is closely guarded if it’s collected at all. It isn’t available to most researchers. CA is doing everything possible to make gun ownership a black mark. | |||

I'm don't have any anticipated short term need for applying for credit. I'm thinking I should play it safe but not sure what to level to choose based on the leak. It seems there are 3 levels to choose from: 1) Fraud alert 2) Credit freeze 3) Credit lock I might buy a replacement car within the next 3-5 years. Other than that, not expecting to need any credit applications in the near future. What level is typically advised for this type of information leak?
