Well, I'm not sure if this really fit in the Rifle Room so .... anybody have experience with the RIA VR80 12 ga shotgun? I just ordered one as a birthday present to myself after looking at tons of good reviews, and it should be here next week (fingers crossed). Some reviews mentioned not working well with loads much under 1300 fps but others had no problems with those so i wondered about some personal experiences here.

I wish I could help you out. But have no experience or knowledge of the RIA VR80 up until your post. I'm more into shotguns for bird hunting or clays. The RIA looks cool, so if you want an AR-style shotgun seems to be a good way to go! I do hope you really love it!!!

Thanks, I'll try try that. I also have five boxes of slugs and five of 00 buck ordered from an on line place I've bought pistol ammo from in the past. So that will get me started. I've had Ar-15s but was looking for a shotgun and this one looked like a great choice.
