I agree. Something's wrong, somehow they should alert owners. Maybe it depends on the severity of the issue. If it's the TMS might need calibration is one thing, if the brakes might fail is another. I'm not defending the car manufactures but I've never had a problem since I use the dealership service every 6 months and they alert to outstanding issues and Carfax notifies me of issues since I signed up with them to track and record service and recalls. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence | |||

Partial dichotomy |
A bit of a twist with me. I continue to get recall notices on a 2006 Honda CR-V that I traded in in 2014 on a new Honda at a Honda dealer. I would have thought that should clear up the fact I'm no longer still the owner. | |||
