The smartphone. The worst got damn thing ever invented. If I wasn’t required to have the thing for work I’d rock a flip phone, and enable home alarm, home automation stuff sms. And carry a hotspot and my tablet around in the truck should something pop off.

Everywhere I go, it’s this:

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Yep...It's only going to get worse.

I have family members who went to a movie down in Baton Rouge yesterday. To get Popcorn and drinks, you had to order it when you got your tickets or use the app. They bring it to your seats.
There was no consession stand in the lobby. They did have a full BAR in another room.

Whether you like it or not, it's the future guys.

My flooring contractor finished up early and I was putting my entertainment center back together, got everything working until the last thing, my DirecTV. Got a "no satellite found" code 775 or something like that. The screen also put up a QR code and I scanned it and got a video showing pictorially and with audio how to troubleshoot the problem. Took me around 3 minutes and found and fixed the problem.

Works fine for me.

What a pointless statement.

Nope, it's reality. I'm seeing more of these QR codes every day and it's apparent that they're going mainstream.

Of course it's reality, and everyone knows it, which is what makes your statement pointless.
