Yes, she/he heard thunder and thought it was gunfire and dialed the po po. Must be related to the police officer that opened fire when he heard the acorns drop on his car.

MAGNOLIA, Texas — Several Magnolia ISD schools were placed on lockdown Thursday after a teacher at Willie E. Williams Elementary mistook a clap of thunder for a gunshot, district officials said.
The teacher was in an interior room at Williams Elementary and did not know a thunderstorm was moving into the area, the district said.

At about 12:45 p.m., the teacher heard a loud clap of thunder and believed it may have been a gunshot. The teacher called 911 immediately, prompting an immediate response from the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, MISD said.
The response led several district schools to go into lockdown as a precaution.
District officials said there were no gunshots and no students or employees were ever threatened.
“All MISD schools are safe and secure,” the district said in an update, thanking local law enforcement agencies for their quick response.
No additional information was immediately released.

More likely is that the teacher is an Aggie. The elementary school is in Northwest Houston ~50 miles from College Station. In their spare time, the teacher probably steals Cheerios from cafeteria and tries to grow donuts.

There are no Aggie jokes — just true stories passed down through generations.

I grew up where I’d see Aggie joke books at gas stations/travel stops while growing up in the ‘60’s/‘70’s. When we found out my younger daughter was accepted to Texas A&M, I was going to get her a joke book or two to prepare. Strange, I was never able to find one since that time, and she is Class of ‘19. I guess the snowflakes have been around longer that had thought.
