PASigThis is not sustainable for long.
Demand destruction is going to kick in very soon if not already and it’s going to have a complete ripple effect across the economy as people start cutting any extra trips and discretionary spending as they start to try to save money.
It used to be that the “danger zone” for a President according to economists was $4 a gallon, who knows if that will hold true now.

V-TailMy wife was on her way to an appointment yesterday. Traffic was at a standstill because the line for the Costco gas station was backed out onto the street, totally blocking the street.
Costco here is $3.63 today for 87 E10, most other places are $3.99.

It's bad enough I have to buy Supreme (91 Octane). I just don't understand why diesel costs so much.

casGot off the highway today and saw $4.49 a gallon for regular. Had to laugh. It's where all the "city folks" stop on their way to/from the Hamptons. They know their customers and stick it to them. About 200 yards up the road, the 7-11 was $4.19
I bought it elsewhere for $4.09

YooperSigsAnd of course, higher prices mean more fuel tax revenue for those who rule us!

casSaid it elsewhere, the last time prices were this high, Obama was in office. Now his VP in office and they're right back up there. So tell me, who is it that's getting richer by this? Who needed a cash infusion?
I'm SURE it's those evil, oil money loving Republicans.

PASigNow $4.39 a gallon
Three price increases in just over 24 hours
This is starting to get really worrisome

Expert308I stopped at Costco to fill up today. The line of cars was amazing, even for a Saturday. I paid $4.15 for regular. A month ago it was $3.74, and a month before that it was $2.49. If this doesn't get reversed, I think the democrats are going to take a serious ass kicking in November.

Difficult decision my ass. They got a killer deal on that oil. Something like $23 off per barrel of oil.
