220-9erIs Recycling A Sham?
This explains the plastic issue in a way that actually makes sense.
NPR is the publisher and if recycling was actually a real thing or even a close call, you know they'd support it.

cyberiadI think some glass and aluminum is recycled but that's about it. The rest just ends up in the landfill because who the fuck cares. We don't need to "save the environment" because the planet is doomed anyway. Almost everything is a scam.

Around here, they no longer "recycle" glass, just aluminum, steel, paper and cardboard.

davidjinksIt’s a sham when they force you to pay for the recycling. Once that was laid out I told them to come get their bins as we would not be participating.

I understand recycling glass to make more glass is energy negative but why not separate the glass, and rather then take it to garbage dumps use it for something?
