Some hyperbole here. Restraints require physician/psychologist orders and that the patient be evaluated within 24 hours. People pretending they are nuts are treated poorly as there are never enough beds to go around.

A little about South Korea:

All men serve 2 years in the military between high school and college. They are trained to defend against a total invasion by 4 million North Koreans.

I did a project sourced by a company in Changwon, which is the provisional wartime capital. It is in the south not too far from the coast, surrounded by mountains with missile defenses, land accessible only by tunnel, and has a 15 km length of straight level road (longest in the country) suitable for aircraft use as a runway.

The men I worked with are hard working, focused, and conservative as you would expect. We should do so well in the U.S. as to have mandatory service for all men.
