Russ5936 year old Jamal Wali will not see 37. Fatal Police Shooting
This guy seemed to be at the end of his rope after living here for 10+ years. I'm trying to be empathetic to his struggles (deciding whether to serve side by side with the US military back home, the pressure that comes from that, relocating to the US, apparently unable to find meaning employment, etc)......BUT...he ought to be smart enough not to antagonize, berate and draw a weapon on LEO. Did his time with the US military over there not teach him that? On how to calm the hell down?

TRIOInteresting to see a recording from inside Wali's car. Guess he was recording it too.
At 16:30, looks like he starts a video recording. About 18:50, we see that point of view.

stickman428If you think it’s ok to open fire on police officers who are being damn reasonable then fuck you. The world is better off without you living in it. Zero sympathy from me. Fuck him.

Rick LeeThe man clearly had mental health issues. That was obvious from the first five seconds of the stop. If I knew I was dealing with a nutbag and he told me he was armed, I'd be suspending everything until backup arrived and he'd be disarmed before anything else happened. Sure, there's nothing else to do but shoot back when his gun clears leather. But something in the system failed when a man in that mental health state gets a gun and carries it in his car. I know it happens every day. I've been pulled over in Fairfax while carrying before, several times. Nothing came of it because the cops knew I wasn't a threat. But this guy was and he should have been treated as such.
