Yeah they do, there’s a ton of Turks in Germany, been that way for decades And carrying a knife has always been pretty illegal there. Mainly because of the Turks. You get into a fight with one and they will beat your ass and then cut you. I was an MP there 12 years ago. Patrolled downtown Kaiserslautern with the polizei and its fucking stupid there, watched them arrest a lady who was groped and assaulted because she pepper sprayed him.. because that stuff is illegal too.. | |||

I PCSed out of Wiesbaden in 2019, they had just put up no knife signs in the marketplatz due to an uptick in incidents. Blank/tear gas pistols where legal at that time too. Tasers and stun guns had been illegal for a while from what I understood. There were issues with the turks in Main Kastel and one of our Medical providers got violently mugged in that time frame too. | |||

it's not about the old lady. It's about following the rules. And going after the easy target. Legal gunowner get treated really badly in Germany, while thugs get away with just a slap on their hands. Germany is a madhouse. The citizen watches the watchman, not the taxpayer. | |||

I go to Germany about once a year and have always brought an auto knife with me. No one has ever said anything about it and two of friends I stay with there are local cops. I think I even bought my first ever auto knife there when I was an exchange student in 1988. | |||
