Whinemeal, I'm sitting here trying to figure out how you unscrew the links when the screwdriver IS one of the links. It's bit like having a self-hitting hammer, or have I missed something vital here?

The Leatherman multi-tool I purchased many years ago came in a plastic package that I couldn’t pop, rip, or tear open. I sat there thinking if only I had the tool in the package, I’d be able to open the package to get the tool.

Leatherman has a video that shows how to change the links. In it, they use the screwdriver built into one of their other multi-tools. The solution is to buy two.

You don’t have to unscrew the links to use them. You only need to unscrew them if you want to replace one or add one.

This bracelet tool has a link with a cutter specifically designed to cut open that thick anti-theft packaging plastic.
Maybe they were going for the shoplifter market with these things.

I saw that and had to wonder if they were thinking of their own packaging when they came up with it.

I think the Leatherman folks missed out on an opportunity with this product. While I wouldn’t wear it as a standalone bracelet, it would make a great bracelet for a tool watch.

They have a watch version. https://www.leatherman.com/bla...vVmKhQhoChj0QAvD_BwE

The real failure was not making a link set that worked with the iWatch. I doubt I’ll really wear this bracelet but if it was a part of my iWatch it would be way more likely.

If TSA is allowing it on flights, it can be used as a brass knuckle and turn a hijacker's face into hamburger meat.

A very few component parts are sourced internationally, but some 83% of their products are made in their Portland, OR factory. I believe these bracelets are completely made in the USA.

Thanks...sometimes they don't indicate that, and I wonder if it's because of "buy American" consumers.

If I recall correctly Leather Man had heavily left leaning ownership. That is enough for me to pass on purchasing from them.

The bracelets are SOLD OUT already, so being a watch addict what happened is I bought the Tempo Lt which is the bracelet with the watch. I have got to quit reading this forum.

There are link adaptors available from other sources on ebay and amazon. Even for Apple Iwatch
