Now men (spacey)

What next? I don't doubt that a lot of stuff happened but it seems like one after another is hitting the news.

It's a natural result of not being personally responsible for your actions.

If you are not to be held accountable for what you do, someone or something else must be pointed to as the cause.

Poor and uneducated? Certainly not your fault, let's blame the "System," "institutional racism," "School funding," the list is long.

IMO, the best way to get ahead as a conservative is to go out and ACCOMPLISH something.

As a liberal, the best way to get ahead amongst one's peers is to be a victim. Libs LOVE victimhood.

Nothing new. It's a way to deflect responsibilities and responsibility away from oneself.

+1

I've been "victimized" in the sense I've been dealt with unfairly. Who among us has not? But I'm not "a victim." Same as I've occasionally done stupid or careless things, but I'm not stupid or careless by nature.

Yup!

I took an oath, several times, to support and defend the constitution of this country. And I take my oath seriously!!!!

We have a president who takes his oath seriously as well. And, there are a LOT of us, too. Many more than the LSM and the safe space freaks realize.

Victimhood is the highest nirvana to the left.

It is critical to be, or at least be seen as, a victim, of something.

Some here are old enough to remember a very popular TV show of the 1950’s, Queen For A Day. Each show featured 3 women, each of whom would tell her story, of misery, suffering, hurt, degradation, bad luck, misfortune. Her husband was hurt and couldn’t work. She works 3 jobs and cares for their 7 children, 3 of whom are babbling idiots who should be institutionalized, they all need medical and dental work, the washing machine is broken beyond repair and on and on. After all three had told their story, the audience would vote on whose story was the most miserable, and that poor unfortunate would be crowned “Queen For A Day” decked out in a sparkling tiara, an ermine robe, flowers, and a rash of prizes furnished by sponsors, a new washer/dryer, dishwasher, large TV, maybe even a new car.

A victim will be listened to, and is beyond criticism. Cindy Sheehan could cry and criticize all she wanted, hysterically. She had lost her son in the war. Who was cruel, insensitive, enough to go after her in her suffering and despair?

Look who draws the criticisms these days, and who is mostly exempt. Trump, Ryan, McConnell, the Bushs, anybody from Goldman Sachs. Everyone else can claim some victimhood, minority, some discriminatory exemption.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I recall it. I also recall how I thought, at the time, even as a young child, there was something innately wrong with the whole idea.

Hypocrites and prostitutes is what these women are, but not necessarily in that order.

You make a "career" by sticking your tits in people's faces, then cry foul after a long time, when it suits you.

You're a whore (by definition), lady, and you're a hypocrite, too, but first and foremost, you're a whore. Don't kid yourself. That's exactly what you are, by definition. Personally, I don't give a rat's ass if Jeremy Piven touched your tits or not. If you don't like the results, then stop advertising your wares.

Another aspect is that it makes a good, believable, and almost unassailable story whether it actually happened or not, or whether you objected at the time or not.

Last week I worked at a high school that is a Preforming Arts Academy. The teacher I was filling in for did not leave enough work for the students. They had all finished their work in 30 minutes, the class is 1 hour 20 minutes. Once the work was completed chaos was a mild word for the behavior of the class. Talking was so loud that I couldn't hear a first row student when she asked a question. Normally I can control classes like this, but not on this day.
The principal came into the class, I had told the students I would call if they could not control their behavior. I didn't call but knew at some point she would be in to see how things were going as I don't normally work there often.
The principal got the kids to settle down.

For the next 5 minutes I had a student stand up and try to tell me that they were not like "regular" students, but were talented and creative and should be treated differently because of their gift. I listened, told them they are not any more special then any of the kids in the other vocational schools I work at. In my mind I was thinking I'd like to smack the shit of these entitlement minded children. We are special because we are talented, bullshit!
