Spectrum Netflix warning to parents! Offensive Chevys!

maxdogSpectrum Netflix warning to parents! Offensive Chevys!
I was browsing movies the other night. I was trying to get some sense of what each show was about. Satl and cable services have warnings now so as not to trigger the delicate sensibilities of snow flakes and the perpetually offended.
OK. I can understand if you don't want kids to hear offensive language or see nudity, sex or so forth. I always thought "nudity, violence language"etc were sufficient warnings. "R" ratings are a clue too!
Now they have warnings like "smoking, gunfire, death, use of the F word, brief glimpse of breast, implied sex", etc. They really get into detail.
And oh my gosh, let's not offend the GD Commies!
I swear to you there was the following warning to parents that I read last night:
"Families concerned with consumerism should note that the film features plenty of Chevy vehicles and references to a particular very expensive Corvette.
No sexuality beyond a few kisses."
Oh my gosh, what happened? Did someone kiss a Corvette? Damn those evil capitalistic Chevrolets!
Everyone wants to be offended. Reality sure is tough. Let's protect the perpetually triggered! Especially from the free enterprise devils!

PrefontaineAs I said in another section of the forum, so many are big wet, um female parts these days. Soft. And you need to be hard, and I don’t mean hard as in sexual. We used to be tougher, without such frail sensibilities. The 70’s, the 80’s, the 90’s had gratuitous female chest shots, violence, and none of us had the reaction people do today. Everyone gets a trophy, helicopter parenting, your “safe space”. People have just gotten soft. Where is Gunnery Sgt. Hartman when you need him, chewing people out!
https://youtu.be/tHxf17yJsKsWonder what they have to say about Full Metal Jacket. “Racial slurs, anti-LBGTwhatthefuckever. Sad
What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Right, but sometimes they have users do these things for them. I think IMDB had a similar feature where users could tag movies and shows with various warnings. Again, useful if you want to know if a show has a bunch of swearing and titties, but then taken to the extreme by fans of Tipper Gore.

trapper189I watched a G-rated movie on Disney+ that warned us it contains outdated cultural depictions or some such nonsense. There were people hunting.

apprenticeI knew it was going hyperbolic when smoking made the list.
Fuck's sake.

If you search that word for word it takes you to a movie review site called common sense media. It’s a review for the movie The Last Stand, and fits that movie perfectly since there is a one of a kind corvette stolen and there is a chase scene with it and a Camaro.
https://www.commonsensemedia.o...views/the-last-stand Oddly Netflix isn’t offering this movie for streaming right now. Amazon is, but I didn’t see that warning anywhere on their site.
Here is the full review

Parents need to know that The Last Stand is an old-school action flick starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. There's a high body count and lots of bloody violence (shootings, explosions that lead to strewn limbs, etc.), as well as frequent strong language ("motherf---er," "a--hole," "bitch," etc.), but no sexuality beyond a couple of kisses. Families concerned with consumerism should note that the film features plenty of Chevy vehicles and references to a particular very expensive Corvette. Ultimately, despite the movie's violence, at its core it has a decent message about protecting your home, your friends, and your town.

Yeah I actually just watched it a few nights ago. As soon as I read the OP I thought of it.
It’s goofy but it doesn’t take itself seriously and has some good killings. I enjoyed it.

You sir, are not nearly jaded enough!
WRT corvettes, it was pretty welll understood, back in high school, that having a corvette could get a girl to do pretty much anything you wanted her to do.

Just watched it on TV.
I digress: but why was the Corvette a RHD?
How did Hamel paint the car overnight in Metal Flake AND Pinstripe in such a short time frame?
Was Annie Potts cute back then or what?
Sorry for the diversion, back to regular scheduled programing.
