Notably, the NDE group reported a higher frequency of unusual dream phenomena such as lucid dreams, precognitive dreams, and out-of-body experiences during sleep. While more-vivid and more-lucid dreams previously have been associated with traumatic or stressful life events, analyses revealed these experiences were primarily associated with the NDE itself rather than trauma symptoms. Furthermore, the “deeper” or more complex the NDE, the greater the reported changes.

--> Linky thingy <--

Seems I may be the only one here that has these based on our dream threads.

I've never had the one about an upcoming exam or going to work in my PJs, but I didn't mean to kill Iron Man, the General, or investigate another dimension.

The Dirac equation has recently been a common occurrence. Prolly the only one with that one.

Your thoughts?

This reminds me of a dream I had a few weeks ago. It was the most vivid and terrifying dream that I can recall.

I was in an industrial setting and there was some sort of evil chase going on. Real bad guys. Somehow I ended up being on a toilet, sitting with my pants down around my ankles. Completely defenseless, when one of the bad guy appeared in the doorway. I wasn't armed, I couldn't get up and run or fight. I was a goner. I knew this. My mind came awake in a shock with vibrant colors like I've never experienced. It was terrifying. I was going to die and there was nothing I could do about it.

I have had many dreams I considered precognitive, starting at a very early age. A couple of them forewarned me of issues that could have been life threatening. One predicted 3 convicts in a prison where I worked were coming to kill me. I saw them the next evening, coming into the unit after chow. The dream had been so strong I activate my body alarm as they entered, and the responding officers searched them. Two of the three were packing shanks, and I had just seized narcotics from their cell, not knowing who lived in the cell yet. I was headed to the office to secure the dope, identify the occupants and notify the supervisor.

The problem is, since I have never written down my dreams, did the incident occur first and my brain trick me with a dream later?

As I grew older, the dreams became less and less frequent.

I would wake up in the morning, knowing that I had had a dream, but not remembering what it was about. I decided to make notes, so I left a pad on the nightstand.

I half woke from a dream, jotted something on the pad, and went back to sleep. Checked my note in the morning. I had written "All the little anchovies, lined up in a row."

Hmmm...

Feed that into an AI and see if it remembers the rest of the dream.

Ha !

I don't know if surviving a high rise fire counts, but I still see the dead I crawled over to escape EVERY goddammed night.

EVERY goddammed night.

Well, I've had the NDE thing a few times.

Haven't have to jot anything down.

Just crazy dreams where I remember the entire thing and have had them continue on many nights later.

Wasn't sure if anybody else here had been through this?

I was dead once on the operating table.

I was gone for a while until they brought me back.

I faded to black. When they brought me back, it was like someone turned on a light switch in a pitch black room.

I don't remember anything else during that time

Nothing changed in my dreams.
I don't usually remember my dreams.
When I do remember, nothing seems different.

This happened years ago.

Interesting.

The most recent thing in my dream was after acquiring a Dirac layer, I happened upon an ancient white amulet and had to trade hard.

Round, clear lens in the middle with three glass side openings. Had later noticed other parts were missing. Found another lens on a rod that goes with it and when the pair are looked through, I can peek in at other times in history that took place where I was.

Went on tour to Fort Sumter and Gettysburg. Peeping my way through the Civil War. Had so many places I wanted to go to and check out, but another piece wanted to be known... in Mount Fuji.

The contraption had originated in Japan and this piece was a round grey stone carved as one piece with an 18 inch rod. I put it on the lower right side of the glasses and didn't notice anything different. I passed them around to everyone there and was the only one who could see in to the past.

Started watching some farmers of the past trading around some gold coins. One of them started staring at where I was and shouting. He could see the other side of the grey stone as a black circle! I slowly moved the stone over where their coins were and one of them passed through from 100s of years ago, through the stone, an in to my lap!

I took the glasses off, slid of the stone and put them and the coin in my pocket. Then woke up just when it was getting good.

I had dreamt a long way from living in a storm drain in Chicago. Big Grin
