WVA Manchin now in the top ten most hated Senators
Well, he's made another top ten list, in fact he's number three right behind McConnell of KY and WI's Johnson. Pretty elite company.

Took him signing off on the kill the coal plan included in the lefts Green Deal Inflation enhancement act.

Manchin’s approval tumbles in West Virginia; he’s now among 10 most unpopular senators at home

By Ramsey Touchberry - The Washington Times - Monday, October 10, 2022
A majority of West Virginia voters are thumbing their noses at Sen. Joe Manchin III in the wake of his delivering a big legislative win for Democrats on taxes and climate change.

The job approval rating for Mr. Manchin, a conservative Democrat, plunged in his home state of West Virginia by double digits in recent months after he provided the final vote needed to pass President Biden’s tax-and-climate bill, according to daily tracking data that Morning Consult released Monday.

A majority 51% of West Virginia voters disapprove of Mr. Manchin’s job performance, up from 38% who disapproved of him in the second quarter of this year.

He now ranks among the 10 most unpopular senators in their home states as he mulls whether to run for a third term in 2024, according to the pollsters.

Mr. Manchin’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

The decline in approval was driven by Republicans and independents who changed their minds about the senator.

While a little more than half of West Virginia Democrats (52%) approve of Mr. Manchin — up from 41% at the start of the year — less than half of Republicans and only about a third of independents give him the thumbs up. Before helping Democrats pass the tax-and-climate spending package in August, Mr. Manchin’s numbers earlier this year with Republicans and independents were in positive territory.

The two senators who receive higher disapproval marks in their home states are Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, and Sen. Ron Johnson, Wisconsin Republican.

Liam Donovan, a former staffer for Senate Republicans’ fundraising arm, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said the change voters’ change of mood was predictable given the fierce GOP pushback to the tax-and-climate law.

Guess his opportunity to switch parties and stay in the Senate just evaporated. What’s that old saying: “you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all of the time?” Sounds about right.

Lyin’ joe manchin. Straight up career politician.
Also, a consummate lying phony, even to himself.

He has no idea how much he let the people down with his last minute cave in. No idea!

100% true. A number of people were "slapping me on the back" when Joe held out. I told them "yeah this is good and hopefully Joe stays true but he can't be trusted to hold course, he blows with the wind".

Also 100% true IMO.

why is it that politicians are uniformly the lowest form of life on the planet, yet we allow them to run us as slaves to their whims?

And KY keeps sending McConnell....

Incumbents have everything in their favor, money, history, state party backing, local political machine, very hard to unseat...

Wait. Who in Wisconsin doesn't approve of Ron Johnson?

Smells like BS Propaganda.

Wait. Who in Wisconsin doesn't approve of Ron Johnson?

Smells like BS Propaganda.

Yep, my first thought, too.

Regarding McConnell, it's understandable. But, even so, why do the morons there who hate him so much keep re-electing him?

Btw, where is the link to the article?

Washington Times (spit! spit!) article appears to be using this "data" source:

"Manchin is topped in disapproval only by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), who are disliked by 63% and 55% of voters in their states, respectively."

https://morningconsult.com/202...est-virginia-survey/

Never heard of Morning Consult, but it's going on my list of liberal propaganda outlets.

Can't say for WI folks but the state seems to swing back and forth, unions go at it and the D win, they stay home, R wins...

McConnell, Choomer, Pukeloski, et all, long term incumbents with massive war chests and big state party backing. Changes need to be made to fund raising, war chests etc...

El Linkamundo is there now,

Said before: Manchin occasionally "getting it right" doesn't make him more our friend than Cruz or his ilk "getting it wrong" on an issue or to two makes him our enemy.

Politicians are as morally flexible as a high-earning stripper is physically agile. Manchin's allegiance always rested with The Party because he feared them more than his actual constituents.
