The first mistake was eating the raw meat. The second was doing in a remote corner of the world where modern medicine isn’t right around the corner. Plague is actually easily treatable with modern antibiotics. They booked the same vacation as Darwin it seems.

There are some things that I will never eat, like great green gobs of greasy, grimy, gopher guts, mutilated monkey meat, toasted dirty birdie feet...

One thing that I will never eat is any uncooked meat. Besides being safer, cooked meat tastes far better to me. My people have always cooked their meat. Even precooked meat, such as Spam, tastes much better after I fry it. I have some Hickory Smoked Spam in my cupboard that I’m anxious to try.

There goes the plan for a chain of Jungle Sushi restaurants. All that hard work for nothing.

Strange, I wonder how these Darwin Award winners manage to keep reproducing.

Not everyone that should gets a face to face meeting with Darwin. Some never do, some somehow survive their brush, and an unlucky few are removed from the pool.

It wouldn't have been my choice, but I guess if that's all you have to eat, you gopher it.
