Il CattivoGun Bloggers, Banned From YouTube, Are Migrating To Pornhub
Cue the chub jokes.
I'm not sure what it means for the future, but both InRange and C&Rsenal have moved on over to Pornhub. No naked chicks, but plenty of firearm-related content. I'm waiting to see if Forgotten Firearms and Rob Ski over at AK Operators' Union (if The Mighty Ula gives him permission) will follow suit.

parabellumThere's got to be a better way. I realize that a platform has to first exist in order to be employed, but there has to be a better way.

Scurvywhy not vimeo?

Il CattivoI was tempted to ask why not create a purely gun-oriented video site, but then it occurred to me that the great and the good at various ISPs might decide to simply not carry the site "due to complaints".

hvyhawlerMy wife is gullible at times, but she will never believe me when I tell her that I'm looking at Porn Hub for gun videos...

Il CattivoI'm single and I live in college town. I'm not sure whether it's better to tell the ladies I'm looking at guns or porn.

tatortoddWhen they were screwing with Hickok45, he moved to Full30 (https://www.full30.com/channels/hickok45) and most like myself followed him. Why couldn’t others move to Full30 instead of porn sites?

Because it's so much easier to keep our favorites all in one place!

wolfe 21What difference does it make where they are, as long as they are still providing the content you seek?

If you have to ask, no answer would suffice.

My wife's reaction "That isn't the best choice. Will make it easy for the anti-gun jokers to equate gun ownership with porn addicts."
In this case: Any port in a storm is perhaps not the best option.

OcCurtI wouldn’t be surprised to see “gunhub” or some such emerge in the near future, hosted by whoever runs pornhub.
The people who own/run pornhub are not stupid and any chance to take a bite out of YouTube’s revenue stream has to be an attractive opportunity to be explored.

StayFrostyI wonder if you click on one Glock video, they will recommend nothing but Glock videos for the next few months.

Karl at InRange is also using Full30.com. He is big into the idea of unfettered access to legal information.
I think he did the pornhub move to get media attention on the hypocrisy of YT, Farcebook, and other dominant sites.
He got it and took YT to task for their hosting video instructions on making meth, crack, and other drugs, videos on using drugs, making homemade explosives, stealing, and others.
Just his way of saying fuck you to them.

BillyBonesNYPosting content to pornhub is not productive, not withstanding the massive security breach PH recently experienced.
In my opinion, it casts the content itself in a poor light, firearms, technology and the heritage of firearms ownership shouldn’t be equates to pornography.
And I have news for all... if you think PH is going to sit back and permit non explicit content on their servers and dilute their business model, you’re wrong.
It’s a matter of time that PH will ban videos that are not germaine to thei topic of interest.

That would be perfectly acceptable.

I've no doubt that you are correct.

BB61I can guarantee I will never check out any gun video on Pornhub. Ever. I have kids and I don’t need the problems associated with PH and my internet. I also work with the Boy Scouts so it’s not going to happen. Stupid decision. I’m not married to the internet. I can get what I need 90% of the time here anyway.

That's what I anticipate will occur.
The folks who own/run PornHub aren't in it because they're obsessed with porn. They're a business. They're in it for the money. If they see that they can make extra money by catering to a different market, such as gun owners, I'm sure they'll seize upon it.
Here's the website of the company that owns/runs PornHub, called "MindGeek".
https://www.mindgeek.com/ Notice that there's no mention or porn or anything of the sort on their site, and the site is entirely Safe For Work. They're a totally normal Web/IT company, who have a lot of experience running some of the most popular and most-visited websites in the world. They just happen to have no qualms against working with the porn industry. And luckily, they have no qualms against working with the gun community either.
Basically, think of MindGeek as another Apple, or Google, or Amazon, just with a more open mind.

Trust me... The Boy Scouts aren't snooping in your personal internet traffic to see if you're looking at porn.
