Delayed gratification 2022 and a delightful 2023

Our 25th anniversary was in October of 2021, in the midst of the covid shutdown. We had been ratstashing $150-$200 a week for nearly a decade to finance a bucket list trip, Bora Bora. The country was closed.

Flash forward to March of 2022, and voila, the country is open. We booked it, our 25th anniversary trip.

We arrived in Bora Bora on October 15, 2022 and spent our 26th anniversary in what is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. After a week of the overwater bliss, we had to return to reality. A huge letdown as you can imagine.

Flash to Jan. 30, 2023, I became a grandpa to the cutest little imp I have ever seen. Her name is Ember. I last visited her in San Diego over the Miramar Air Show weekend. She's stolen my heart.

I have truly been blessed.

Granddaughters man. There's nothing like them. In our transition to Tennessee our basement grandchildren have been living elsewhere temporarily. I visited with them recently and took them to dinner. My granddaughter sat next to me a pilfered my steak fries and Dr. Pepper. Every time I dipped a fry in ketchup, she'd lift it from my fingers and down the hatch. She's three and adorable. You are in for a treat with Ember.
