Congratulations. I retired from USAF in 1974. Enjoyed my retirement until I got board. Retired again in 2003. Watch you health issues but enjoy life.

Looks like St. Johns does get some 1ft of snow a year, and at that elevation it certainly should. Overall year-round climate looks good.
 
We have shooting friends who summer up that way, (Show Low, Snowflake), and they report active area USPSA clubs that they compete in regularly.
