EDITED to ADD: I really wish Ford would give us heavy duty guys a bigger filter than the 820S...

An 820S is huge compared to the Dixie Cup sized POS on my Silverado.

And yet those little AC Delco PF46E filters have gotten my trucks through 225K and 430K respectively, both still going strong. I don't see how a bigger filter would be an improvement.

As an aside, I saw a hack on the internet showing using a solo cup on a downward facing oil filter to take it off, controlling oil that would otherwise drip on ones hand. Works great! Once the filter is loose enough to turn by hand....before gasket seal is broken, use the cup the rest of the way. And it catches the filter.
