I’m in manufacturing, not rocket science, but I see your point. The counter, however, is that sometimes we reach the end of our knowledge. At that point, we have to try things we can’t fully predict, and see what fails. That’s when we really start making positive progress.
Edison is often credited (maybe correctly, maybe not) with having said something to the effect of, “I now know a hundred ways NOT to make a light bulb,” right?
One jerky fella I used to work with said about new processes, “let’s go ahead and fail quickly, so we can get that out of the way and get on with learning how to do it
right.”

architectSo tonight's launch was scrubbed due to weather.
Too many people on the chat seemed to be watching to see a blow up, as a finger in Musk's eye.
Those who celebrate failure will never succeed in their endeavors.

SigSentryCase-hardened Starship. That was pretty cool.

crue-dellToday was a good day. Listening before launch and they didn't plan on recovering the booster or Starship. Tiles in critical locations where removed and the ship was overstressed to collect data.

trapper189I’m disappointed that all of the articles I’m finding seem to be focusing on what went wrong in the past rather than what went right this time.
