maxwayneClosed Captioning
I am watching a ball game on tv, via You Tube. I can't see the score or clock at the bottom of the screen due to closed captioning. Is there any way to get rid of it?
Thanks

parabellumClick the 'CC' button on the toolbar.
Maybe youtube TV is different, but that's how you toggle closed captioning on youtube videos.

RedhookbklynAt the bottom of your screen should be the run timeline, press pause on your remote control and the timeline should show. Just above the timeline on the right side of your screen will be a closed caption icon.

dsietsSome apps you can use the DOWN button and then move left and right to find the CC or audio option.
Very irritating as my mother needs the CC but can't see the score, or news ticker, weather closings, etc.
And then when there is a game where the score is at the top of the screen, guess where the CC line goes. It's a conspiracy I say!

PASigAre you on a Roku?
I’m pretty certain the * button controls CC

maxwayneNo, we are on a non-smart tv. We have a small Apple tv box our son gave us years ago. The only time we use it is to watch the streamed basketball games from a small local liberal arts college.
I did use the pause button and found the CC button, but don't know how to activate it. The cable company gave us a remote to use. I am thinking maybe the remote that came with the tv might allow us to do so.
