Honest question about Memorial Day and Veterans Day
So, I know on Memorial Day we honor and remember those brave men and women who perished while serving our country; on Veterans Day we celebrate and thank those who served but made it back home alive.

My question is this, on which day should we remember those who served and came home but have since passed?

Having known service members that have died while serving I do consider Memorial Day for them alone.

So assuming someone served and passed from natural or unrelated causes outside the line of duty, their day is Veteran's Day.

Many will treat them the same, I do not.

That would be Veterans Day. (aka Armistice Day, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the end of World War I.)

Veterans Day is the answer to your question, but JEEPERXD gave the best answer.

As others have said, Veteran's Day. Here is an accurate pictorial on the differences between America's 3 holidays for the men and women who served or are serving:

You don't know me, so you have no way knowing but I do remember all our brave veterans daily.
