andronicusHavoc movie
Been waiting for this on Netflix. About as ridiculous as I expected. Bloodiest shootouts in a movie as I've ever seen. But one redeeming feature is that Tom Hardy's pistol for much of the movie is a Sig 228. So all is forgiven.

PHPaulJust watched it, and I agree. What a stinker.
Tom Hardy and Timothy Olyphant should be ashamed of themselves.

andronicusI give the actors the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the mortgage was due, the kids needed braces, gambling debts, something. As long as they aren't pretentious about the film that is an obvious pile of garbage.

83v45magnaWe quit about 1/2 an hour in. Labeled it 'not for me'.
Stinkeroo.

GibbWe watched it, weren't expecting much but still very disappointed.
Caution... If you are sensitive to "shaky cam" movies, stay far, far away from this one.

whododatWatched it last night with the wife. The only thing missing were the words being off just like a Chinese martial arts film. Very disappointing.
Because son, it is what you are supposed to do.

RipleyIt wasn't "John Wick", it wasn't "Sin City". It was violent so there's that. An utterly forgettable waste of time.

stkfoxThat’s a shame brcause I love Tom Hardy in damn near anything. I’m enjoying Mobland a lot.

PR64I watched it last night.
I said that Quentin Tarantino would be a fan…

I've been debating how to frame that exact question.
I admit my ignorance, and I have questions about something along the lines of a MAC10 or Uzi (or whatever the modern equivalent is, I suspect those are dated...)
1. What is a representative rate of fire? I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 rounds per minute. Possibly more.
2. What is the usual magazine capacity? Again guessing, I'd estimate 30 rounds. Possibly more, perhaps 50 in a double-stack magazine.
Working for the moment on the assumption that my SWAGs on #1 and #2 are at least in the ballpark, I'm thinking a generous estimate of full auto time before running dry would be 30 seconds. Even given Magic Reloads, the spray and pray scenes in that movie (and others) is flat ridiculous.
The other thing that doesn't even
pretend to be accurate is firing one handed at full arm extension and seeing ZERO muzzle rise...
I'd be interested in seeing some actual numbers for 1 and 2.

vinnybassI watched it last night. I never saw one mag change. The full-auto pistols never ran dry. What a stinking mess.

smschulzEveryone in this movie is a bad guy and they kill each other.
End of review.
Not very entertaining, IMO.
I guess this is so bad, it isn't even good enough to make it to the LAIR.

ugeestaGot 5 minutes into it before we shut it down.
The sped up shaky camera style doesn't work with my eyes. Glad we didn't waste anymore time with it.

preten2bAgree with the above list of criticisms. I'll add the chase scenes reeked of AI enhancements which simply added to the poor visuals. To me it wasn't a shaky camera, more like cartoon clips.

TMatsWe actually lasted a good 45 minutes. I guess we had a hard time coming to the realization that a movie with both Tom Hardy and Tim Olyphant could be that bad.

More like 600-1200 rounds per minute depending on caliber and particular firearm. Capacity of 30-35 rounds double stack is typical.
So we are talking 2-3 seconds of full auto fire before a mag change.

Was about to say this. How can Tom Hardy make crap like this and also do Mobland which is really good. You think he is rich enough to pick good roles/films instead of going for the cash grab.

Damn! I knew they hosed out some rounds, but I had no idea!
That prompts another question: Why? I get firing for suppression, but it you have to change mags every few seconds, where's the advantage? Not to mention burning out barrels.

patwSaw it yesterday and I agree it was bad. People getting shot with a shotgun numerous times and still fighting like they were only grazed. I think it was a tax movie for some.
