DeNiro has provided plenty of material for comedians to sink their teeth into. I think this upcoming election there's going to be some comedic gems skewering public figures, entertainers and politicos as they attempt to give impassioned opinions to the public about politics and 'the real world'

Gervais has been busting Hollywood’s balls (and tattays) for many many years now. His monologues over the years at the award shows have been epic. “Don’t come up here and preach and talk politics, you’re a fucking celebrity, take your statue, shut the fuck up, and sit down”. He’s just poking fun at them again, in this video. He’s hilarious. We need more like him.

That’s creepy. I bet he drives a van with no windows and “free candy” stickers on the sides.

But, this forum has a lot of members. My question, does anyone here know of anyone who fled the country after President Trump was elected the first time around? We hear all this blathering and threats to leave by these folks, but their talk is cheap and never materializes.

Yeah I guess I did. Guilty as charged. Didn’t know the background. Won’t happen again.

He is parodying a Tik-Tok/Tweet from a pompous, self-absorbed poser celebrity. The pretentious fashion black & white photography, the wet, slicked back look, in a bath. And of course the words. Something Taylor Swift, or George Clooney might do. He mimics the typical vacuous celebrity to a tee.

We need people like Ricky to wake up the people he's parodying. And, apparently, a requirement is that he's bullet proof himself in that they can't do anything to him.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Yep. You can't argue with arrogant Lib/Commie/Socialists. Logic doesn't work with people who base everything on emotion. Mocking and parody are the only things that work. They hate being mocked.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

It doesnt matter. Well, it doesnt matter for a lot of reasons but for the blowhards who say they are leaving have to leave anyway for tax reasons. They have to live abroad a certain amount of days because a lot of their income is made when they are out of the country on location for filming and what-not.

Even if anyone really said they'd leave, and did, they still come back.

Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.
