I use a siphon or if I'm pouring gas in to my lawn mower, I'm just careful with the spout.

I was just about to post the same spout as preten2b & RogueJSK are talking about. It is what I use and works great. Bought from the same place as well. Atlantic British LLC.

Finding a nozzle that fits vehicles might be tough. I use a transmission funnel and no nozzle on the can for that.

That nozzle fits my cars, but I still prefer to use a funnel too. Less chance of spillage.

I bought a 5-gallon Midwest can from Tractor Supply a couple of years ago, that is actually a Wavian can with a screw-on nozzle. I use it to store fuel for my riding mower. Harbor Freight will sometimes have these cans as well.

Most of the nozzles for these cans will be marketed as "water jug nozzles". If searching for the non EPA spouts.

Sadly I'm not in a most area.

Not widely available here...Not even narrowly available!

Get yourself some StarTron it works great.
I keep 15 gallons of Ethanol fuel and 10 gallons of ethanol free.
I put StartTron in both. I rotate the ethanol gas every six months and use the Ethanol free up over the summer.
I use the ethanol with the Startron in my Tundra.

I am still in the break in period for my generator so it is getting ethanol free. Once it is broken in I will use ethanol with StartTron.
Utilizing the fuel shut off.

I have one old metal Jerry can I need to refurb and pick up a couple Tuff Jugs. To add to the stable they are just too tall for my current fuel storage

Just a friendly reminder, ‘most’ stations want the fuel going into the correct type cans. They may not see, may not enforce, but some will.

That means red for gasoline, containers made for such. If you show up at the pump with a blue can, could possibly be an issue.

I have never had an employee at a gas station give even the slightest shit about containers. I am not sure I have even seen an employee outside the store in years. I would not worry about this.

Yup. I've filled 4 green wavian cans at a time on multiple occasions over the course of 5 or 6 years. No one gives a hoot. Maybe that's different in states where attendants must pump your gas, but not in Florida.

Mine are all green. Nobody has batted an eye.

Probably because the last Wavian thread got us all to buy the green ones which were pretty cheap relatively at the time. I got 4 for hurricane prep. I have 4 Tuff Jugs coming the first day of February. Red this time. Still technically not “legal” whatever that actually means.

Yes, indeed. I suddenly, for no rational reason, felt an intense desire to have real military Jerry Cans, and no substitute was acceptable. 4 olive green Jerry Cans are now sitting in my storage unit, along with a lot of other shit that I thought I had to have a the time.

BTW I just ordered 2 spouts and a gasket replacement kit. Big Grin

I need the gasket seals. Seems like a good thing to have on hand. They are the same gasket for the donkey dick and the Jerry cans correct?

I saw these the other day when I was at HF. I almost grabbed one but being at HF, I assumed they were crap. Glad to know they're not. Of course the link says my store is sold out now.

A crappy no-spill can and fifteen bucks more spent at Bezos World, and I’m good to go.

I have those on all of my gas jugs. They work well as long as you're VERY careful to not cross-thread the little yellow cap when putting it back on, and that is very easy to do! Consequently, I have had to replace them a few times over many years of use, but at least they're affordable.
