Back in the early 2000s, comedians like Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Robert Downey Jr, etc. all wore blackface and got away with it just fine. Nobody resigned, lost their jobs, no huge national outcries of horror. And many other citizens wore blackface to Halloween parties without incident. It is ONLY the hyper PC agenda of today that makes these long past incidences a social crime.

No different than still blaming white men for slavery hundreds of years ago.

So what about Robert Downey Jr. and Tropic Thunder from 2008?

Not even remotely saying it was the brightest costume to use and does lack some sensitivity (for the Hurricane Katrina aspect), but if someone sat some of these folks down and made them watch say... Blazing Saddles, they'd probably have an aneurysm.
