The Druze want to be annexed by Israel.

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster.

That was proposal at an isolated meeting that we don't have much context about other than a single-video. Not sure if it's simply the council of town leaders or, a much bigger meeting. Either way, everything I understand and heard from Jewish friends is the Druze are good-to-go for folks that can get along with. Druze in the past have been targeted by Islamists, particularly around Lebanon as the PLO got its hooks into the country, then later on Hezbollah doing the same.

I heard it from my engineers.
There are Syrian Druze in Israel now.
They'd make the West Bank thrive.

Family was watching some news show last night. I did not watch it, but heard the commentary. They were all gushy about 'a new day in Syria without the brutal dictator' and all the political prisoners being freed. It was all optimistic about Syria's future, making it sound like the American Revolution. The 'winners' here are just more Islamic extremists. We all know who the 'losers' will be.

All they really did was trade one brutal regime for another. I hope I'm wrong, but. . .

It makes me question the msm's motives. Are they trying to paint this as a positive so they can credit it to biden (dude needs SOME positive 'legacy,' right?) or are they doing so to make Israel look bad for it's military action. . .? Probably both.

So apparently the prisoner that CNN has been crowing that they "rescued" from a Syrian prison is actually a member of Assad's regime, and responsible for murdering civilians. This is what happens when you have no clue what you are doing and stick your nose into situations where it doesn't belong looking for a feel-good story. Freaking morons.

"Journalists" have always been active combatants for the enemy. We had our own "embedded journalists" giving away positions to the enemy in Iraq.

There were desperate for a story, willfully ignorant and naive to the realities of the battlefield.

quote:
Verify-Sy noted, however, that he appeared “well-groomed, and physically healthy, with no visible injuries or signs of torture — an incongruous portrayal of someone allegedly held in solitary confinement in the dark for 90 days.”

He also “did not flinch or blink even when gazing up at the sky” despite having said he had not seen sunlight for three months.
