The spade tines on my Husqvarna 900DRTh are way worn, so I went online to order replacements. Every source I checked showed out of stock/discontinued. Could a welder “extend” the existing tines or is a new tiller in my future? __________________ "Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician." -Jeff Cooper

If you wore them out, the machine did very well. I’d think a versed welder could extend them, replace worn material. If you have the exact part number, I’d run an Ebay search. I had a Snapper mower from the early 90’s when I lived in GA, gave it to my sister. Not to many years ago it required an uncommon part. I looked, hard to find. I was able to find, ‘new old stock’ on eBay, still running today.

Yes. My father owned and operated a machine and welding shop in our farm town. A fair hunk of his business was building up the edge of worn plow shears. He used an electric welder to apply successive beads of Stellite, a very hard material. Then used a power grinder to form a sharp edge. Serious about crackers
